Ownership

All photographs, video, thermal imagery, reports, text and other original works created by Drone Media Imaging, a trading name of VisualChaos Studios Ltd, are protected by copyright under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Copyright belongs to and remains with VisualChaos Studios Ltd as author unless a written agreement says otherwise. Commissioning and paying for work gives the client a licence to use it, not ownership of the copyright, which under UK law stays with the author unless assigned in writing. Moral rights in our works are asserted. Our brand names and logos, Drone Media Imaging, Thermography Services (UK), VisualChaos Studios and chaosWEBS, are trading names and marks of VisualChaos Studios Ltd and may not be used without permission.

Client Licences

Clients receive a licence to use commissioned deliverables for the purpose stated in their quotation, effective on payment in full, as set out in our Terms of Business. Wider use, resale or sub-licensing needs a written licence from us, and we are practical about granting them: if you need more than your licence covers, ask.

Copying And Reuse Of Published Work

Content published on our websites and social channels, including imagery, thermograms and articles, may not be copied, reproduced, scraped or republished without written permission, beyond the limited acts the law permits (such as fair dealing for review, with credit).

AI Training And Data Mining

We do not licence our works for the training, fine-tuning or development of artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, and we expressly reserve our rights in relation to text and data mining of our published content. Access to our websites by automated agents does not grant any such licence. This reservation applies to all works we hold copyright in, published or delivered, and any AI-training use requires a specific written agreement with VisualChaos Studios Ltd.

We hold this position while ourselves using AI openly in our own production, under our AI Policy at www.dronemediaimaging.co.uk. The two are consistent: we use AI as supervised tooling on our own work; we do not give others’ models the right to ingest that work. This reservation is also expressed in machine-readable form on our websites (crawler directives and bot policies), and automated access that ignores it is unauthorised.

People In Our Imagery

Identifiable individuals in commissioned imagery are handled under our Privacy Policy at www.dronemediaimaging.co.uk. We do not use identifiable people in marketing without consent, and commercial client work appears in our portfolio only in anonymised form, with any written opt-out honoured in full.

Third-Party Rights

Imagery can depict trademarks, designs, artworks and property belonging to others. Our licence to a client covers our copyright only; clients are responsible for any third-party clearances their use requires.

Infringement And Contact

If you believe our published content infringes your rights, or you find our work used without licence and want to tell us, contact us via www.dronemediaimaging.co.uk. We enforce our rights, and we also correct our own mistakes quickly when shown them.
