AI Policy

Our Position

Drone Media Imaging, a trading name of VisualChaos Studios Ltd, uses AI openly and under expert supervision, because it makes our work faster, more accurate, more consistent and better value for our clients. What it never replaces is certified judgement. Every word a client receives has been read, checked and approved by Steve Fisher. AI helps produce the work; it does not decide it, and it does not send it.

We publish this policy because we think clients are entitled to know how their work is produced, and because openness about method is part of how a professional practice earns trust. Most of what follows was true of our workflow long before we wrote it down.

What AI Does Here

AI-based tooling assists with drafting, formatting, consistency checking, research, document summarisation and administrative work. In our inspection reporting it serves as an independent second check: every classification is first assessed and recorded by the certified professional, and the tooling then compares each determination against our published assessment framework, flagging any variance for his review. In a one-person practice, that is a second pair of eyes most sole practitioners do not have.

What AI Never Does

  • It never makes a finding, classification or recommendation. Those are made by the qualified professional, and the AI’s role is limited to checking them against our own framework, as a recommendation he is free to reject.
  • It never sends an email, publishes content or issues a document. Every send, issue and publication is a human action by Steve Fisher.
  • It never writes directly to clients or the public without supervision. Every client-facing word is read and approved before it goes out.
  • It is never trained on your data. No client data is used to train any AI model, on any of our systems.
  • It never generates the imagery we present as our work. Every photograph, video frame and thermogram we publish or deliver as ours was captured by us on site.

Your Data

Client confidential material is processed in one of three ways, matched to the sensitivity of the work: kept outside AI processing entirely; pseudonymised under a written procedure so that no client-identifying content is processed; or processed under commercial AI service terms that contractually prohibit training on customer content and incorporate a data processing agreement. Which applies is determined by the engagement, and clients under NDA can request our one-page AI and Data Handling Statement, which sets out the specifics, including the services we use and the terms they run under. Personal data is always handled per our Privacy Policy at www.dronemediaimaging.co.uk.

Governance

Our AI governance is operated in alignment with the principles of ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for AI management systems: documented policies under change control, a defined human review workflow, bounded automation with approval gates, audit trails, and a named accountable person, Steve Fisher, ITC Level III Certified Master Thermographer. Alignment describes our working practice; it is not a claim of certification. We keep this policy under review against UK and EU AI regulation and guidance as it develops. If your engagement requires delivery without any AI involvement, we offer a manual service tier, quoted at the additional time that way of working requires.
