Our Fleet of UAV Drones and Payloads

Drone Media Imaging has chosen and invested in the market leader in commercial drone development and manufacturer DJI.
We have a fleet of aircraft that operate in the sub 20 kg category. The primary concern for us was to use equipment that was safe with built-in redundancy and failsafe systems that will facilitate high quality and commercial grade image delivery across video, thermal and still photography formats.
Today, DJI products are redefining industries. Professionals in filmmaking, agriculture, conservation, search and rescue, energy infrastructure, and more trust DJI to bring new perspectives to their work and help them accomplish feats safer, faster, and with greater efficiency than ever before.
DJI platforms empower us to capture images that were once out of reach. The flying and camera stabilisation systems redefine camera placement and motion. Amazing photos and video, treasured personal memories, and high-end professional imagery are captured every day, in every corner of the world using DJI products.
Below is a list and description of our in house Drone Equipment. We can also hire in other specialist equipment such as the Inspire 2 cinematography platform when and as needed.

DJI Matrice M210, Matrice M600 and The Zenmuse XT, Z30, X5S, X5R
We use the following drone equipment and specialist camera options
The Matrice 600 (M600) is DJI’s new flying platform designed for professional aerial photography and industrial applications. It is built to closely integrate with a host of powerful DJI technologies, including the A3 Pro flight controller, Lightbridge 2 transmission system, Intelligent Batteries and Battery Management system, for maximum performance and quick setup. The modular design makes the M600 easy to set up and ready to use in just minutes. Its dust proof propulsion systems simplify maintenance while actively cooled motors make for reliable operation during extended periods of time. A maximum payload of 6 kg allows it to fly the Ronin-MX gimbal and a range of cameras from Micro Four Thirds systems to the RED Epic.
The M600 uses sine-wave driven, intelligent ESCs to ensure it performs accurately, safely and efficiently while A3’s self-adaptive flight systems adjust flight parameters automatically based on different payloads. The M600 features an extended flight time and a 5 km* long-range, ultra-low latency HD image transmission for accurate image composition and capture. By using 6 small DJI Intelligent Batteries, allowing it to easily be shipped to wherever it is needed. A customised battery management system and power distribution board allows all six batteries to be turned on with one button press, and keeps the system in flight in the event of a failure of a single battery, and allows users to check the battery status in real-time during flight.
The DJI Matrice 210 has revolutionised the commercial drone market since its release, providing a robust enterprise solution at an affordable price. Situated as the middle model in the Matrice Series, the M210 benefits from a dual gimbal which enables the operator to capture two data sources at the same time. This is particularly useful in industries such as search & rescue or solar panel inspection where a user may require simultaneous HD imaging and thermal imaging.
With the inbuilt option of an upward gimbal, the DJI Matrice 210 has revolutionised the way data is captured in a number of scenarios including bridge inspection and wind turbine inspections.
The DJI Inspire 1 Pro is the smallest, easiest professional aerial filmmaking platform in the world. They combine DJI’s unparalleled leadership in aerial technology with world-class M4/3 imaging capabilities. Used by professional photographers and filmmakers all round the world due to it’s reliability, innovation and specification.
A newly developed carbon fiber compound ensures excellent performance with increased stability while the same geometry of previous Z-blade series, known for aerodynamic efficiency, is used for the optimum flying experience.
The DJI go app gives you an unprecedented level of control over your camera while you fly. Use the intuitive auto focus mode to compose the perfect shot and change everything from focus to shutter speed and aperture with the tap of a finger. Through the same app you also control how your Inspire flies, from auto take-off and landing, to fine tuning of your flying experience and even a set of intelligent flight modes.
Same as for the Inspire 1 Pro but with a second camera in the nose so that a 2 man crew can be used. One erson flies the aircraft and the second operates the main camera.
Just being able to see the Inspire isn’t enough if you want to be sure of its orientation and what it’s flying towards. When flying the aircraft forwards while the camera is panning to follow an object, the camera operator will be totally happy with the view but the pilot won’t be able to see where he or she is going, this is where the FPV camera comes in
Thermal imaging from the air has never been as easy as it is with the DJI Zenmuse XT. By combining DJI’s unrivaled expertise in gimbal technology and image transmission with the industry leading thermal imaging technology of FLIR, the Zenmuse XT is the ultimate solution for rapid and reliable aerial thermal imaging. Capture faster, with pinpoint precision, over large areas, then save them for analysis and reporting.
The camera on the DJI Zenmuse XT is developed by FLIR. It provides high-sensitivity (50mK) infrared scanning at 640/30 fps. This sensitivity provides accurate temperature measurements ideal for analytics and telemetry. The camera is available with four lens options to meet different business needs. Stabilised and controlled by a custom DJI gimbal, it provides smooth, clear imagery and 360 degrees of seamless rotational movement.
The Zenmuse XT Advanced Radiometry camera provides twice the temperature measurement accuracy of the standard Zenmuse XT along with new analysis and recording functions. A simple tap on any point of the on-screen image to view the temperature of that point or select an area to measure the average, highest and lowest temperatures as well as their location. The camera can also be calibrated to further increase temperature measurement precision by setting external parameters including background temperature, scene emissivity and more. If photos are captured in the TIFF format, the temperature of each pixel can be recorded for further processing and analysis. A temperature alert threshold can be set, automatically activating when that temperature is detected. This capability could simplify and accelerate search and rescue and inspection activities.
The Zenmuse Z30 is the most powerful integrated aerial zoom camera on the market with 30x optical and 6x digital zoom for a total magnification up to 180x. Whether you are inspecting cell towers or wind turbines, it enables you to get a detailed look at structures, wires, modules and components to detect damage.
As a result of letting you conduct inspections from a distance without the need to fly close, not only is speed and efficiency of your operations increased but risk of collision is obviated.
Equipped with an uprated Micro 4/3 sensor, the Zenmuse X5S has a dynamic range of 12.8 stops with a much improved signal to noise ratio and color sensitivity than the X5R. It supports up to eight standard M4/3 lenses (including zoom lenses) with focal lengths ranging from 9mm-45mm (equivalent to 18mm-90mm on a 35mm camera), allowing more creative flexibility.
The new CineCore 2.0 image processing system on the Inspire 2 makes the Zenmuse X5S capable of capturing 5.2K 30fps video as well as 4K 60fps using H.264 and 4K 30fps using H.265 (both at 100Mbps). Continuous DNG burst shooting at 20fps with 20.8MP images is also supported.
The Zenmuse X5S was designed to keep pace with the rigors of high-end professional aerial imaging.
The Zenmuse X5/X5R, the world’s first mirror-less, compact Micro Four Thirds camera made specifically for aerial photography and cinematography. Designed to work with the DJI Inspire 1 ready-to-fly platform, the Zenmuse X5/X5R packs a powerful sensor that’s capable of recording 4K videos at up to 30 fps (1080 HD at 60fps) and capturing still images at 16MP. Equipped with the standard MFT interchangeable lens mount and allowing full wireless remote control over focus, aperture, and more, the Zenmuse X5/X5R lets you shoot the way you want. Welcome to the future of aerial imaging.
